'일루셔니스트' 영화를 새벽에 보고 잤다. 원래부터 보고 싶었는데 단편 소설이 원작이라고도 하고(소설, 웹툰 등 제1차 창작물을 가공해서 만든 2차 창작물은 잘 안 보게 된다. 완전하게 순수한 1차 창작물을 보는 재미가 더 있고 영화, 드라마의 경우엔 시나리오 작가의 역량을 판단할 수 있으니) 결말이 새드엔딩이라는 게 걸렸거든. 하지만 보길 잘했다. 새드엔딩인 것처럼 보이지만 반전이 있거든요. 킬링 타임 용으로 숨 죽이면서 꽤 재밌게 봤습니다. 반전이 있을 줄은 모르고(완전히 로맨스 물이라고 생각했다) 봤는데 신선했고.

일단 '에드워드 노튼'이 보여주는 마술이 어디까지가 진짜고 어디까지가 그래픽인지 모르겠다는 생각이 들 정도로 실감났다. 당연히 그래픽일 부분이 있지만 그 당시에 그런 눈속임을 할 수 있을 것 같고? 환영 같은 것이 나오는데 지금으로 따지면 빔 프로젝터의 원리를 그 시대부터 벌써 썼을지 모르잖아?

마술은 눈속임이란 걸 알아도 언제나 신기하다. 그러는 한편 마술을 연구하는 사람들도 보통이 아니란 생각도 들고. 거울의 원리를 이용한 마술 기법도 ���에서 소개해준 걸로 봤을 때 깜짝 놀랐다. '홀랭. 이런 비밀이 있었어? 이렇게도 속일 수 있구만?'

과학 원리까지 전부 통달해야만 하는 게 마술사 아닐까. 리스펰. '나우 유 씨 미(Now You See Me)'도 생각나고. 이건 3편 곧 나올 것처럼 '마크 러팔로(Mark Ruffalo)'가 인스타그램에서 티를 팍팍 내던데. 과연 3편은 언제 나올 것인가. 나오는 건 확정인데 말이죠. '아바타(AVATAR)' 2편 기다렸을 때랑 비슷한 기분. 나온다고 계속 말하는데 안 나와... 주연들이 워낙 바빠서 늦는 것도 있을 듯. 아일라 피셔(Isla FIsher)' 내놓시라구욧!

영화, 드라마 캡쳐 하는 것을 한 번 안 하게 되니까 계속 안 한다. 귀찮아. 어쨌든 교훈을 주입받고 싶지 않고 재밌게만 보고 싶은 분들에겐 추천. 다만 15세 관람가인데 중간에 살 나오는(?) 장면이 있어서 혼자 보길 권한다. 15세 이용가라지만 상대에 따라 같이 보면 민망할 것 같아서(ex. 부모님).

덧.

아, 그리고 카메라 기법도 인상적이었다. 직사각형 화면의 테두리가 검은색으로 안 쪽을 향해 번지도록 했더라. 그래서 더 몽환적이고 옛날 느낌 팍팍 났어.
